Regional Differences in Self-perceived Health

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to identify the factors of regional differences in self-perceived health. To do this, we collected the 2012 Community Health Survey data and created variables related to self-rated health. Data analysis using multiple regression and decision tree model was performed. The region with many male population, high socioeconomic level and good health behavior has a strong tendency towards high self-perceived health status. On the other hand, the region where there are many chronic disease patients has poor self-ratings of health. Regions were classified into 14 groups by the decision tree analysis. It is recommended that the results of this study are used as base data for self-perceived health improvement projects.
